A new urban generator for Muswellbrook
On completion, the 100 Bridge Street development will deliver a new mixed-use building on a prominent site in the heart of historic Muswellbrook, in the Upper Hunter Valley. Strategically positioned within the town centre and in close proximity to the Muswellbrook Regional Entertainment Centre, the project will play a pivotal role in the ongoing urban regeneration of the township’s civic and cultural precinct.

The development sits within a broader masterplan prepared by Muswellbrook Shire Council to a design by FJC Studio, which seeks to revitalise the town centre through a cohesive vision for contemporary regional living. The masterplan includes a major new cultural centre, a town square, and a series of public realm and infrastructure upgrades that aim to enhance connectivity, encourage community interaction, and strengthen the identity of Muswellbrook as a vibrant regional hub.
Designed in alignment with these regeneration goals, 100 Bridge Street contributes a distinctive and contextually responsive building that reinforces the character and vitality of the town centre. The proposal integrates active street frontages with ground-level retail, food, and beverage tenancies that will animate the new public spaces and provide a welcoming pedestrian experience. Above, commercial offices on the first floor introduce flexible workspaces that support local businesses and encourage daytime activation.
The upper levels accommodate a series of well-appointed apartments, designed to promote contemporary regional living with generous terraces and balconies offering outlooks across the new town square, the Muswellbrook township, and the Hunter Valley beyond. Together, these elements establish a dynamic mixed-use community that blends living, working, and leisure within a single, sustainable framework.
Through the thoughtful integration of architecture, landscape, and public realm design, 100 Bridge Street contributes meaningfully to the renewal of Muswellbrook’s town centre, reinforcing its role as a focal point for social, cultural, and economic activity. The project exemplifies how architectural design can drive urban regeneration, delivering lasting value for the community while celebrating the identity and heritage of place.
