New South Wales Mid-Rise Patternbook
Collins and Turner have been selected as designers for the mid-rise apartment typology within the New South Wales Housing Pattern Book, contributing to a program focused on delivering high-quality, flexible, and repeatable housing solutions. Our role will support the initiative’s ambition to streamline the delivery of well-designed homes that can adapt to a wide range of urban and suburban contexts across the state. By shaping a set of robust, architecturally considered templates, the Patternbook projects will help ensure that future developments achieve both design excellence and practical constructability.
The NSW Housing Pattern Book offers a diverse collection of high-quality and flexible designs to suit many sites, supported by a fast-tracked planning pathway that reduces complexity for project teams. Users gain access to homes designed by award-winning architects, comprehensive technical drawings, pattern-specific layouts and material options, detailed landscape planning instructions with plant lists, and specifications to support BASIX certification. Through the contributing architects contribution, the mid-rise apartment patterns will uphold the program’s goals of improving housing affordability, accelerating delivery, and maintaining strong environmental and design standards.
